Sustainability on destinations

GREEN TOURISM ORGANIZATION is not exactly an eco-label of destinations, but a step on the way. 

The scheme helps making the destination or area of business ready for ready for a future labellig of the destination. It is very important to have the tourism organization on board and prepared - otherwise it is unrealistic to work towards labelling the destination. 

Destination label is more comprehensive

A destination label is very comprehensive and contains more elements. There is a focus on all of the destination's transportation opportunities, waste handling procedures, nature protection efforts etc. Elements, that are not only handled by one agent, but a collaboration between tourism - and green organizations, tourism companies, local authorities mm. 

But for a tourism organization it is natural to start with itself getting the GREEN TOURISM ORGANIZATION.
